We had family for the wedding itself followed by a meal at a local pub and friends joined us on a trip down the river Dee on a river boat. Tina, a neighbour, did Sue’s make-up and hair and acted as our chauffeur. Rachel was our official photographer but many other guests contributed to our collection. The actual ceremony was at Crewe Registry Office.
After the photos in the garden of Pine Trees we walked to the Hand and Trumpet for the wedding (non)feast – the food was not good.
In the late afternoon more guests were invited and a coach took us to Chester where we boarded a river boat which took us on a cruise up the Dee in the pouring rain and we were entertained by a jazz band.
The next day we had a BBQ for family and neighbours with Anthony providing and manning his gas BBQ and me doing my bit on my real one. Penny Massey and Pete came and made quite an impression.
