In 2019 Pippa Owen entered two Celtic longboats into the celebration of boats festival in France. Sue and I went there with David and Maxine. We stayed a night with Chris and Vicky and caught the ferry from Plymouth. We stayed in Douarnen in a delightful chambre d’hotes before and after the event. At the event we were accommodated in static caravans and provided with breakfast. Each day we rowed (I coxed) to a different part of the gulf and were provided (at a small cost) with lunch and dinner. We were even given free oysters! We had lovely weather and the event was amazing
